Each species account includes: description, list of subspecies, forms and aberrations, habitats, flight periods, hostplants, distribution in Europe and France. Richly illustrated with colour photographs of the adults of all species in nature, and as set specimens and the larval stages, as well as distribution maps. Four tables detail the preferred habitats for each species, the hostplants of the caterpillars, the altiduninal distribution and the flight periods. Two keys are provided: one based on the adult habitus, the other on the genitalia.
