ANNOUNCEMENT
NEW SERIES OF BOOKS ON ECOLOGY & BIOGEOGRAPHY OF BUTTERFLIES FROM World natural History Publications
(See 'Forthcoming' section below for first volumes which are due in January 2019).
A new series of books intended to cover the biology, biogeography and speciation of butterflies worldwide, eventually extending to several hundred volumes. They will comprise of a distillation and incisive analysis of the scientific research undertaken in universities, museums and institutes worldwide, as well as previously unpublished material. The books will be printed in small print runs and will be kept revised with up-to-date information at the time of printing. The rationale for the series is not to compete with field and identification guides, but to complement them and to set their subject matter into a scientific context, region by region.
A separate complimentary sub-series, 'Field Guides - Plus', is also being published for each region, which will act as field guides with much additional information.
