Transcribed and edited by Steve Gill from Horace George Barber's (1908-1982) manuscript notes and illustrations of diatoms from the Nuneaton area (Warwickshire, U.K.) compiled between 1964 and 1979, which only recently came to light. Barber was an expert amateur microscopist, with a specialist interest in diatoms, he was considered one of the best diatom draughtsman of recent years. Originally issued as a PDF, this copy appears to have been professionally printed and bound.
