Although many species of dragonfly and damselfly are doing well, almost a third of British and Irish species are in decline and in need of conservation effort. This atlas shows the distribution and reviews the recent status of the 57 species found in Britain and Ireland. The result of five years work by volunteers and partner organisations to map the distribution of damselflies and dragonflies in Britain and Ireland. This atlas summarises the distribution of over 1 million dragonfly records, and includes:
- Species accounts, including maps, for all 57 resident and immigrant species recorded in Britain and Ireland
- Sections on habitats, conservation, distribution changes and phenology
- High quality colour photographs of all species and their habitats.
