Description:
2nd edition. The first edition appeared in 1959, and due to demand, this second edition was printed in the same format, but with improvements to the appearance of the maps to bring them up to date and with several new pages incorporated. A later third edition also appeared in 1970, but in a reduced format. Maps measure 440x475mm and are numbered, 1-46, 25A and two un-numbered. Maps include Physical, Provincial, Agricultural, Climatological, Geological, Soil, Vegetation, Disease (Malaria Incidence, Tsetse Infestagion, Tick Distribution), Reserves & Parks, Administrative, Exploration, and major towns. Six historical maps are also included. The final map, Outline of Physiographical Features is un-numbered, and located on p. vi.
Condition
450x485mm, two-tone half cloth, minor rubbing to extremities, the maps are held in the binding by three fixing screws, one of which is missing. Vg.
