Sm. 8vo, orig. blue cloth, gt dec. to front cover, spine lightly faded; occasional foxing, plates clean. A very good copy. Circular book-plate of Denis Robert Pack-Beresford to endpaper. Denis Robert Pack-Beresford (1864-1942) was an Irish entomologist and arachnologist. He is most notable for his contributions to the field of arachnology and the study of woodlice and wasps in Ireland and Britain. He was a member of the Royal Irish Academy and the Royal Dublin Society. He took part in the Royal Irish Academy surveys of Lambay and Clare Island.
