Complete in 3 volumes. Edward Sydney Simpson (1875-1939) was Mineralogist and Assayer to the Geological Survey of Western Australia from 1897, and Government Mineralogist and Analyst from 1922. He made a major contribution to mineralogy of Western Australia and amassed a collection of approx. 5500 specimens. This 3-volume work, published posthumously, is considered the principal reference work on mineral occurrences in Western Australia.
