Esmé Wynne- Tyson (1898–1972) was a British novelist and journalist with philosophical interests. Wynne-Tyson was the inspiration for several of Noel Coward’s stage characters, such as Madame Arcati in Blithe Spirit and Carlotta in A Song at Twilight.

The Philosophy of Compassion: the Return of the Goddess (1962) argued that religious fundamentalists opposed to Darwinism were unable to see that Christianity is a stage in religious evolution, unfortunately become patriarchal. (ODNB)
