Duplicated typescript report. Alvecote Pools is a series of shallow pools along the River Anker, Warwickshire. Coal was mined in this area between 1848 and 1965 resulting in subsidence and flooding that formed a complex habitat, and is now an important site for water birds.
Condition
Sm. 4to (257x203mm), cloth, gt. Light foxing to endpapers. Vg. With the bookplate of British ornithologist C. Antony Norris (1917-2005) to endpaper, and a tipped in letter addressed to Norris from Maurice Arnold.
