Pierre Justin Marie Macquart (1776-1855) was a French dipterist. He produced a number of works on European as well as non-European Diptera in which he described many new species. Latreille enlisted him as author of these two volumes in the 'Suites a Buffon' series.

2 vols, 8vo, cont. half leather, scuffed and worn, joints to Tome I cracked and a little tender, marbled boards (rubbed), edges and endpapers. Good set.
