Includes historical notes from the 1860's onward. The scale of the work is amazing, (Bulletin no.84) was the result of two years work, a reconnaissance survey ‘being 12,100 miles in extent’. Illustrated with large colour folding maps. Edward de Courcy Clarke (1880-1956), was a New Zealander, who joined the Geological Survey of Western Australia, from 1912 to 1920. Clarke is known for conducting extensive field work in challenging areas of Western Australia, the results being published later in Bulletins of the Geological Survey of Western Australia.
