This volume contains 12 papers on Diptera, seven by Samuel Rickard Christophers (1873-1978). The journal commenced publication in 1913, the first editor being Sir Pardey Lukis (1857-1917). It continues to be published to this day, it is one of the oldest Asian medical journals. In its early years the journal focused on tropical medicine and pathology, publishing papers by British and Indian researchers on malaria and its transmission by mosquitoes, filariasis, kalazar, leprosy, the plague, syphilis, snake bites and nutritional disorders, etc.

Condition

4to, cont. half leather, spine heavily scuffed, orig. wrappers retained. Withdrawn from an institutional library. Good.
