2 vols bound in 1, 8vo, cont. half leather, rubbed + scuffed, marbled boards, leather title piece to front board. Some wear. Occasional foxing. Good. From the library of British lepidopterist, Barry Goater (1930-2022), with his bookplate. Also with name and address of British Hymenopterist, J.F. Perkins (1910-1983), pencilled to endpaper, with some of his annotations relating to observations made during the 1920s, mostly in Devon. Perkins became Assistant Keeper of Entomolgy at the British Museum (Natural History). He was a Fellow of the Royal Entomological Society and authored a number of their Handbooks on parasitic Hymenoptera. Some annotations to the second work in an earlier hand.
