8vo, orig. cloth, Ex-lib.: withdrawn from the University Museum Oxford, with small printed presentation bookplate 'From the library of Bernard William Tucker (1901-1950), Reader in Ornithology, University Demonstrator and Lecturer in Zoology and Fellow of Queen's College, Oxford'. Also with Tucker's signature to endpaper. Shelf label to spine; a few ink stamps to endpapers, verso of title and fore edge. Bernard Tucker, a British ornithologist, was editor of the journal British Birds, and one of the authors of the classic The Handbook of British Birds (1938-1941).
