De Meijere (1866-1947) was a well-known biologist who contributed much to the knowledge of the Diptera fauna of the former Dutch East Indies and the Netherlands. His extensive collection is now housed in the Zoologisch Museum, Amsterdam (ZMAN), and contains type specimens of about 1180 taxa. This catalogue records the data for the de Meijere types housed in the ZMMAN and other museums in Europe.
