Subscriber's copy. This work is noted in the history of printing for the use an offset nature printing process to produce the illustrations of lace, (four printed in blue ink, two printed in black). The lace plates were produced by A. Goater, who also used this unusal technique in Christopher Dresser's famous "Studies in Design".

8vo, orig.cloth, worn, head of rear hinge split. Name to half-title page. Light foxing.
