Limited to 500 numbered and signed copies (this copy no. 112). The Apionidae are represented by over 450 species in the Western Palaearctic Region. This volume is the first of a projected series of approx. 10 volumes, illustrating all the described species by single whole insect paintings by the author. The illustrations are x70 or x80 life size, highly detailed and meticulously executed.

The first volume includes a synopsis of the tribes, and keys to tribes and genera. Subsequent volumes covering each tribe will include keys to species, distributional and biological data
