Its main role was to promote agricultural efficiency, improve rural livelihoods, and oversee matters related to farming, land use, and fisheries policy. As part of its educational and advisory work, the Board began publishing these short accessible leaflets, designed to inform the public about agricultural best practices, scientific developments, and government recommendations. Subjects include Acts of Parliament. Farm Animals, Wild Birds, Insects and Fungi injurious to crops.
