Boissiere House, or ‘Gingerbread House’, Port of Spain, Trinidad Limited edition framed print
Description:
Beautifully framed, limited-edition fine lithographic print by the celebrated Trinidadian watercolorist Harry Bryden (1930-2025). This striking piece depicts the iconic Boissière House, known as ‘The Gingerbread House’ located at Queen's Park West in Port of Spain, Trinidad. Designed and built by the architect Edward Bowen in 1904 for the Boissière family, the house is known for its eclectic architecture featuring pagoda-style pavilions and elaborate fretwork.
This is an early, highly collectible pull from the artist's sought-after 1991 architectural heritage series. It is hand-numbered 36/500 and personally hand-signed by Harry Bryden in pencil along the bottom margin. Professionally mounted and framed under glass in a modern metallic/gold-bordered frame. The rear of the frame features its original gallery ticket from Horizons Art Gallery, Mucurapo, Port of Spain, Trinidad, one of Trinidad's leading commercial galleries and long-standing exhibitor and retailer of Harry Bryden's work.
