Description:
Text Chinese with Latin names. This book is the result of research funded by a commissioned project of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and a survey project of the Chuzhou Municipal Bureau of Ecology and Environment. It provides the first systematic description of butterfly resources in Langya Mountain National Forest Park, offering crucial foundational data for baseline butterfly resource surveys and biodiversity conservation within the forest area. The book comprises six parts: an introduction to butterflies; the following five parts are categorised by family Papilionidae (swallowtails), Pieridae (pills), Nymphalidae (nymphs), Lycaenidae (blue butterflies), and Strifeidae (skippers), describing 102 species in 67 genera. For each species, it provides specimen photographs and field ecological photos, introducing their occurrence periods to showcase the rich butterfly resources of Langya Mountain.
This book is both academically rigorous and engaging, aiming to enhance public awareness of ecological environmental protection and sustainable development. It can serve as a reference for butterfly researchers and as a popular science book for young people to learn about butterflies.
