Description:
Text Chinese with 10-page English abstract. Includes descriptions/rediscriptions of the 75 species of Silphidae known from China. The species are grouped into 11 genera: Silphinae - 7 genera (41 species); Nicrophorinae - 2 genera (33 species). One new species is described and four new synonyms are proposed. In addition, 7 species potentially to be found in China are included in the keys. Catalogue to Chinese Silphidae is included (based on the Palaearctic catalogue). Brief introduction to phylogenetic perspective, taxonomy, biogeography and natural history of the Chinese Silphidae
