The ECCF mapping project was launched with the intention of producing European distribution maps for 51 macrofungi and bringing together information on the ecology and status of each species in the different countries. The publication of this book is the culmination of several years of work and is the result of the collaboration of nearly 300 mycologists from 38 countries. For each species a distribution map with commentary and one or more photos included.
