Description:
Second edition, arranged according to the Linnaean method, with the descriptions shortened, and occasional remarks added [by Charles Johnson]. Undated title pages. Fine hand-coloured, engraved plates by James Sowerby. These two volumes contain the lichens. Vol. X includes the four supplementary plates, but lacks plates 1899 and 1989.

Condition
2 vols, cont. green half leather, worn/scuffed, front boards detached; raised bands to spine, gilt tooling to compartments, top edges gilt, marbled endpapers. Lacking two plates. Good.
