8vo, orig. cloth. From an institutional library, a few ink stamps, shelf labels to spine. Good in d/w. Colin Patterson's copy with his name to endpaper, marginal pencil annotations throughout, and extensive pencil notes to endpaper (possibly in preparation for a review). Colin Patterson FRS (1933-1998), was a British ichthyologist and palaeontologist at the Natural History Museum, London. He was one of the first proponents of cladistic methods in systematics and made important contributions to the develpoment of phylogenetics.
