The result of a ten-year survey by members of the Dublin Naturalists' Field Club - the first complete survey of the flora of the county since 1904 (N. Colgan: Flora of the County Dublin). Pt I covers the topography, climate, geology and soils, the history of the study of the flora, and includes accounts of eight botanical districts and the main habitats. Pt II contains the systematic section, with information on historical records, frequency of occurrence, habitats and sites for more than 1300 flowering plants, ferns, horsetails, clubmosses and stoneworts, with distribution maps for over 200 selected species.
