Clive Nicol was hired by the Imperial Ethiopian Government and sent into the remote, primitively feudal Simien highlands of Ethiopia to found a national park and while he was about it, to save from extinction a rare and endangered beast, the walia ibex.

8vo, orig. green faux leather, gt. Slight bump to edge of front panel. Vg. From the library of entomologist and traveller Guillaume Marie de Rougemont (1945-2020), who had a particular interest in Ethiopia, with his bookplate.
