This book represents the first systematic attempt to list and describe the British insects. Pages 122 and 357 are incorrectly numbered as 422 and 351 respectively; numbers of pages 196/197 are transposed.

Small-4to, rebound in later qtr calf, rubbed. As usual there is foxing/browning throughout, browning heavier at beginning and end. Marginal pencil annotations.
