Description:
XIX Congrès Géologique International. Monographies Régionales 3ème Série : Maroc N° 4. Text French. An early synthesis of Moroccan hydrogeology, prepared by the Centre des Études Hydrogéologiques. It provided the first comprehensive survey of the groundwater resources of Morocco, of what was then the French Protectorate of Morocco. Robert Ambroggi (1918-2006), a French geologist and hydrogeologist supplied the introductory and general sections, followed by regional accounts written by the various specialists. The work combines geology and practical groundwater hydrology: aquifers, springs, groundwater tables, artesian conditions, water quality, recharge and the relationship between geological structure and water supply. Numerous regional hydrogeological maps form an important part of the publication.
