Description:

Text Spanish. Enrique Murria Beltrán (Teruel, 1961) is a self-taught entomologist and naturalist. Fascinated by fauna and nature from a very young age, he has always been especially drawn to insects and their enormous variety of shapes, colours, and behaviours.

A lover of rural life and enamoured with the landscapes of the Aragonese Pyrenees, he has resided in the Huesca Pre-Pyrenees since 2001, where he is the founder and manager of the Aineto Butterfly Ecomuseum, an environmental education, outreach, and research centre focused on these insects. From there, he combines his work as a lepidopterist with that of an illustrator, having authored or co-authored more than one hundred scientific and popular articles and publications on butterflies from the Aragonese and Iberian regions.

His professional activity focuses on the conservation of threatened insects and the study and cataloguing of the lepidopteran fauna of Aragon, also collaborating on projects with entomological institutions and Spanish, European and American universities.
