Johann Christian Mikan (1769-1844), was a Bohemian entomologist and botanist. He travelled to Brazil (1817-1818) and was Professor of natural history and botany at the Universty of Prague.
Condition
8vo, later (19th century) qtr leather, raised bands, gt rules to spine, marbled endpapers. Ticket of Js. Chs. Puls, Gand, Pharmacien & Droguiste, to endpaper. Also with ink stamp of Dulau & Co. Very good.
