Description:

Reprint from the Linnean Society's Journal, Botany Vol XXVII. Illustrations by the British botanical illustrator and lithographer, John Nugent Fitch (1840-1927). Fernando de Noronha an archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean, which forms part of the State of Pernambuco, Brazil. The island still had its natural vegetation when Darwin visited it in 1832 but much of it had been cut down by the time Ridley conducted this review.

Condition

Library buckram, lettering in white ink. Text to one plate slightly shaved. Withdrawn from an institutional library. Good.
