Includes two fine handcoloured plates engraved by Daniel Veelwaard (1796-1868). Originally published in 'Verhandelingen der eerste klasse van het Koninklijk nederlandsche instituut van wetenschappen, letterkunde, en schoone kunsten te Amsterdam', 1817, pp. 169-192. This is a separate, near contemporary reprint, with the text reset and pages renumbered 1-24.
Condition
4to, recent wrappers, some marginal foxing/browning to text - not affecting the plates; neat repair to corner of title page. Vg.
