4to, buckram, minor rubbing + scratching. A little foxing/spotting at the beginning. Some offsetting from plates to facing blank versos of caption leaves, with some surface damage to a few caption sheets; plates unaffected. Vg. Ex libris Roy Hew Russell Stevenson, with his book-plate. Captain R.H.R Stevenson of Selukwe, South Rhodesia. Known as the first lepidopterist to "put some order in Rhodesian butterflies". Scarce original edition.
