Second edition. H.A. Burberry was employed as an orchid grower by the British statesman Joseph Chamberlain (1836-1914) at his residence at Highbury, Birmingham. The work is notable for the four attractive composite arrangements showing numerous different orchids together and the use of photography as practical horticultural illustration.
Condition
8vo, orig. cloth, spine faded,wear to head and foot of spine, crease to front board. Withdrawn from The Royal Horticultural Society, Lindley Library, with a few neat ink stamps/labels.
