12mo, cont. calf, scuffed and worn, with some loss to head and foot of spine, raised bands and leather title piece to spine. Browning to outer edge of pastedowns and first/final leaf of text. Rear free endpaper removed and possibly a blank flyleaf at the front. Some foxing. Several previous owners' names to front endpaper. From the library of Prof. Alexander James Edward Cave, (1900-2001), British anatomist, with his name in pencil. Cave was Professor of Anatomy, St. Bartholomew's Hospital Medical College, 1946-1967 and President of the Linnean Society 1970-1973.
