From an institutional library. Book-plate of the Herbert Lister Bowman Library, Laboratory of Mineralogy, University of Oxford. Bowman (1874-1942) was Waynflete Professor of Mineralogy and Crystallography. Also with small book-plate of James Walker (Christ Church) (1857-1929), demonstrator in the Clarendon Laboratory, Vice-President of the Physical Society. Manuscript copy of a paper on the Gyro-Compass published in Proc. Phys. Soc, XXIII, 1911, loosely inserted.
