First edition. Edited by Colin Thubron and Artemis Cooper. This is the posthumously published final volume of legendary travel writer Patrick Leigh Fermor’s trilogy about his journey on foot across Europe in the 1930s. it was unfinished when Fermor died in 2011. The editors assembled it from manuscripts, drafts, and surviving diaries. The book follows the last stage of his walk from the Balkans to Greece and eventually to Mount Athos.

Condition

Fine in d/w. A copy of a detailed review of this book by the American literary critic, Daniel Mendelsohn published in the New York Review of Books, June 19th, 2014 is loosely inserted (torn with a little loss to start of the article).
