Nature Series. Charles Grant Blairfindie Allen (1848 1899) was a Canadian science writer and novelist, educated in England. He was a public promoter of the theory of evolution in the second half of the nineteenth century.[ Allen notes in the preface that his work on the colouration of flowers was encouraged ‘by the friendly appreciation of the late Mr. Darwin’.
Condition
Sm. 8vo, orig. cloth, slightly rubbed, very small puncture mark to spine. Short marginal tear to a few pages.
