Description:

The preface states 'This book has been written not only to show how, from a very small beginning, the work of The Wild Birds' Hospital and Sanctuary [in the Cornish fishing village of Mousehole] has grown and established itself, but also with the aim of enlarging human understanding of bird ife, and especially bird character.' The hospital established by two sisters, Dorothy and Phyllis Yglesias became famous throughout the world, today it is known as the Mousehole Wild Bird Hospital.
