The first volume of Game-Birds of India, Burma and Ceylon appers under its own separate title, The Indian Ducks and their Allies; Vol. II: Snipe, Bustard and Sand-grouse; Vol. III: Pheasants and Bustard-quail. Vol. I states limited to 1,200 copies. The material was first published in the Bombay Natural History Society's journal, here reprinted in book form with corrections and additions.

3 vols, large 8vo (273x189mm), Vol. I & II: orig. half morocco, slightly rubbed/scuffed, spines faded, teg, other edges uncut; Vol. III: orig. two-tone cloth. Vol. II - binding cracked at pp 240-1. Occasional foxing. Each volume has a previous owner's name or bookplate to endpaper.
