First edition. An detailed account of the southwestern Arabian Peninsula, the Yemeni Highlands and the land around Hadhramaut. George Wyman Bury (1874-1920) was a British naturalist and explorer who spent 25 years in different parts of the Arab world, including Morocco, Aden, Somalia, and Egypt. He wrote several books, including this one, under the pseudonym Abdullah Mansur.

Condition

8vo, orig. red cloth, gilt title to spine. Endpapers browned, minor spotting to edge of text block, occasional foxing/browning to text, short closed tear to margin of folding map. Name to endpaper. Vg.
