Description:

Antonio Sansone (1853-1928) was Director of the School of Dyeing at the Manchester Technical School.

Condition

8vo, orig. cloth, wear to spine, front hinge cracked but firm. Small tear to centre of front endpaper. Good. Bradford Technical College prize bookplate dated 1895, signed by its founder and president, Sir Henry Mitchell (1824-1898). All 42 fabric swatches present. Two cuttings enclosed from The Textile Manufacturer a Practical Journal for Mill owners, Machinists, Dyers, Calico Printers etc: A New Method of Photographic Dyeing and Printing, October 1890; and The Turkey Red Oils: Their Manufacture, and Their use in Dyeing and Printing, March 1891.
