8vo, orig. cloth, rubbed, slight fading to spine, bottom corners bumped. Vg. Ownership signature of Joshua F. Ramsbotham (1878–1951), English civil engineer whose projects include harbour and lighthouse constructions in Australia. In 1922 he was appointed to the Great Barrier Reef Committee, his influence aparent in the unique design of the Barrier Reef light-structures with large unattended lights built directly over exposed coral and sand cays.
