Collection of approximately 300 short papers and offprints on the Empididae (c.1888-1996), assembled by the British dipterist Kenneth G.V. Smith (1929-2017) as a working reference collection for his own research and publications on the group. Smith was a member of the Department of Entomology at the British Museum (Natural History) and a recognised authority on the Empididae, publishing extensively on the family from several regions of the world, as well as on other aspects of Diptera. Arranged in 10 cloth pamphlet boxes.
