Each volume contains, several illustrations in colour, approximately 50 illustrations in b/w, two relief maps and 14 pages of strip maps, a delightful coloured title page by artists such as Kenneth Rowntree (1915-1997) and Barbara Mildred Jones (1912-1978) and a gazetteer of places and points of special interest.
