Description:
First edition. A beautifully illustrated travelogue that chronicles the author’s journeys following migratory birds from the Arctic all the way down to sub-Saharan Africa. A painter, writer, and amateur ornithologist, Pearson carries his “studio in a rucksack,” creating over 180 color paintings that capture scenes across Greenland, Europe (including the Ouse Washes), the Mediterranean crossings, and the austere beauty of the Sahara.
