Now includes 1181 species (cf. 992 in 1st ed (2003)) - Papilionidae – 69 spp; Pieridae – 57; Nymphalidae – 418; Riodinidae – 31 Lycaenidae – 318 and Hesperiidae – 288. The total number of species level taxa has also increased from 1048 to 1277. Introduction includes information on new taxa and new records to Vietnam, monographs, reports and revisions published from 2003 to 2015. The map displays 63 collecting localities 26 of which have been studied during last twelve years. Short descriptions of sites show administrative province and the geographical coordinates. The plates include 164 images of 71 new species and subspecies described during this period.
