Butterfly Collecting

Description:

Scarce. A delightful concept in which children were encouraged to colour the outlines of British butterflies using a coloured illustration as a guide. They could then cut them out and paste them onto a coloured plate showing the butterflies’ food plants. The book even suggests that “if you bend up the wings a little, they will look like real live butterflies.”
