8vo, orig. cloth, rubbed. Vg. From the library of K.G.V. Smith (1929-2017), leading British dipterist at the Natural History Museum, London, and editor of the Entomologist’s Monthly Magazine. Loosely inserted is a typed letter from Smith to Czech dipterist, Milan Chvala (contributor to several sections in this volume, including that on Empididae), noting several empidid species omitted from the current volume, along with Chvala's typed letter in reply.
