Edward Thomas Booth's (1840-1890) collection of British Birds in the Dyke Road Museum (now the Booth Museum, Brighton) contained over 300 posed dioramas, which at the time was a novel way of displaying a natural history collection. The collection was originally private, until Booth's death in 1890, where the museum and collection was bequeathed to the town of Brighton. This edition also includes a history of the collction.
